Funky 16 Corners blog there is this. We sometimes make the mistake of thinking that the twenty minute opus is a progrock thing or a jamband thing or an ambient exploration thing. But we're wrong -- this is lush and gorgeous and soulful, but also crafted and constructed as well as
Yes or
Rush. It's a little on the light side in terms of my usual sonic preferences -- a little funkiness does creep in, but we're still in soul with strings territory for the most part. Damn, but it grabs.
